Agglomerating Filter

This is perhaps the best value for money filter unit on the market, even for use with diesel fuel. The small compact design incorporates an agglomerating filter which offers efficient fuel filtration via a replaceable paper filter element cartridge. Agglomerated water particles collect in a clear glass base which can be drained via a screw in plug, without having to dismantle the unit. The base and head are constructed of cast aluminium.

- Agglomerator HeatedReplacement agglomerating cartridges are cheap and readily available from many major filter manufacturers. Some cartridge suppliers do not guarantee that it will agglomerate for vegetable oil applications although I have had very good results from the Fleetguard  FF167A replacement cartridges.

Fuel filters can have some trouble with cold Vegetable Oil, so it is recommended that some form of heat exchanger be incorporated to the fuel system somewhere before the filter.

VegieCars has developed a patented heating adaptation to the Agglomerating filter head incorporating a thermostatically controlled glow plug heating element and thermal insulation, guaranteeing that the oil will flow in the shortest possible time.
