Fuel Tank Selector Valves

To set up your dual tanks you will need to be able to switch from diesel to Vegetable Oil and back again with ease. There are many fuel valves on the market, but your research will indicate that a motor driven valve is better for vegetable oil than a solenoid valve, as the fluid can be so thick.

The most common valve is the Pollak 6 Way Fuel Valve. This unit can retail in Australia for up to $260. If purchased from VegieCars, this product will be supplied as a kit including the valve, wiring harness and a switch prewired with a loom for easy installation.There are some imitations on the market and most other suppliers will not supply a switch or wiring loom.

This unit also allows you to switch between the fuel gauges. A six way valve is required to switch the fuel uptake lines and the fuel return lines. As an alternative, you could use two x 3 way fuel valves in parallel.
