Heat Exchanger

A heat exchanger uses coolant to heat the fuel prior to the injection pump. The plate type heat exchanger is made of plates of Stainless Steel that have been brazed together with pure copper in an oxygen-free furnace. It has small ripples up and down each plate. This creates more surface area for the fuel to travel over, more time for the coolant to heat the fuel and a more turbulent flow to ensure the fuel heats fast. It has 10 flow paths providing low restriction, reducing the risk of plugging.
